Theoretical episodes

Striking writers propose episodes of other writers’ series, including the Daily Show writers finishing off Pushing Daisies:

Attempting to revive his strike-threatened show, Ned decides to “touch himself. Unfortunately, he enjoys it so much he touches himself again, killing the series for good.

  1. Heh. Humorous but scary comment about Pushing Daisies.

Whatcha think of last night’s Terminator:SCC?

  2. Not bad. That’s definitely the direction I’d like to see John going. He needs to learn to step back and let Cameron take on the Terminators, though. So far what we’ve seen of Sarah’s fighting style is that she makes excellent use of the things around her — she lets Cameron do the grunt work, she just pushes her out of a window rather than try to lift her, etc. John doesn’t have that skill yet.

I’m starting to think Lena Headey’s woodenness is a combination of faking her accent and not being entirely certain how to exude “strong woman” in scenes where there’s very little action.

  3. She is faking an accent? What is her normal accent? I agree with you there though. The show is still going through some growing pains the way I see it, kinda like Stargate in its first few seasons. The FBI agent is really starting to grow on me.

  4. She’s English, I believe.

The Matrix runs on Windows. Ow. It hurts to laugh that hard.

I’m addicted to the NYTimes maps this morning, especially the county bubble view. Hello, population distribution! It’s fascinating to compare this year to 2004.
