Observations on John Doe

I’d been hearing for a while that John Doe was not a half-bad little show, and what with Dominic Purcell and all, I thought it would make a nice substitute for my weekly Prison Break fix. So I set the TiVo to record it, having noted that the Sci-Fi Channel was conveniently airing the pilot on Friday.

Checked back again to find eight episodes piled up. I missed the fact that the pilot was the beginning of an all-day marathon. Eep.

Watched during dinner tonight. First reaction?

I thought this was the show with the naked guy in the cardboard box. Not so much. Note to self: John Doe: Dominic Purcell naked in the woods. Profit: Adrian Pasdar naked in the cardboard box. Right. Now that we have that straight…

OMG, Dominic Purcell had hair!

... which he totally stole from David Boreanaz!

... which looked better on him!

Yes, folks, I am shallow. I’m also closing in on the end of the book and I have no idea how to get from here to there, so all this random gibbering coming from my keyboard? Pls disregard, kthnxbye.

I’m addicted to the NYTimes maps this morning, especially the county bubble view. Hello, population distribution! It’s fascinating to compare this year to 2004.
