Bits and pieces

I’m 3/4 of the way through the novel. My brain is leaking out my ears.

I am not going to Chicago this weekend as originally planned. (Sad glyph.)

SFWA politics are even nuttier than Texas politics. I mean, damn, people. This election is reminding me of that West Wing episode when the DNC went nuts and had three candidates for the nomination:

[JED is watching the convention on TV. ABBEY, sleepy, enters the living room.]
ABBEY: [squinting at the television] Is it still on? What are they doing?
JED: [grim] Eating their young.
