Places and faces of Turkey

While I was gallivanting around the country, my mom was patiently posting the photos from her recent trip to Turkey. In fact, I noticed that she had gotten started while I was in Rochester, and I was able to use her blog in my WordPress presentation: “So, how easy is it to set up WordPress? Well, my mom called me last week to ask how she could post her travel photos and have a little blog to go with them, so I installed this while she was on the phone…” Which is the truth; both WordPress and ZenPhoto are using stock themes there, so the whole setup took less than half an hour, starting from domain registration. ZenPress makes everything play nicely together.

Anyway, Mom takes much better photos than I do. Check it out.

I’m addicted to the NYTimes maps this morning, especially the county bubble view. Hello, population distribution! It’s fascinating to compare this year to 2004.
