Assorted notes

I am very sad that I learned of woxy.com only because someone recently mentioned its imminent demise. It’s a lovely station.

I’m busy this weekend putting together the new design for the business site. I wasn’t happy with the first one, and (if all goes well) the domain without the hyphen will be ours on Tuesday. Seems a good time to celebrate with a new look. The poor site has been somewhat neglected because we’ve been tied up with client work since before we were officially in business. It’s crazy, but good, I guess. (Of course, since we’re doing this in our off hours, it doesn’t take that much work to tie us up.) I’m excited about our current project, but more on that later.

Sarah Monette cracks me up. Just had to share.

I have been writing. We shall not speak of it. Instead I’ll tell you about some of the great books I read during my vacation… but first I have to go push some pixels around.

I’m addicted to the NYTimes maps this morning, especially the county bubble view. Hello, population distribution! It’s fascinating to compare this year to 2004.
