A brief note from a busy work day…

(Yes, I have to work today.) Pandora is the coolest thing EVER. I’m looking for a few last-minute gifts, so I typed in an artist [a certain person] enjoys, and Pandora’s steadily spitting out CDs I can go look for. And rather than just give you a list, it plays a track from each in a radio station format, so you actually get to hear a whole song instead of some tinny 30-second clip. You can rate each song thumbs-up/thumbs-down (looks a lot like the Tivo remote, actually) and skip ahead if you don’t like something.

To whoever showed me this (Laurel?) — THANK YOU.

I’m addicted to the NYTimes maps this morning, especially the county bubble view. Hello, population distribution! It’s fascinating to compare this year to 2004.
