Textpattern

I’ve used some of my immobile time to switch the site over to Textpattern and TextDrive. I’m still shaking out a few bugs (like the topic archives) but otherwise what you see here should be almost identical to the old MT setup. Sometimes it took a plugin (like this one) but recreating the site turned out to be not too difficult.

Some changes:

  • TrackBack is gone (possibly to return)
  • The calendar archives look slightly different, because the calendar plugin for TXP just works a little differently.
  • The RSS/Atom feed addresses have changed. The old ones are being redirected, so you shouldn’t have to adjust anything, but you might have seen all the posts show up as new ones again.
  • Likewise, the LJ feed spat out a slew of new posts. Sorry about that.
  • Photos are now managed by the lovely Photostack, because who has time to sit around making thumbnails?
  • I now know that there are an awful lot more of you reading this than I thought. Hi. How ya doin’?

Otherwise, life should be good. Let me know if anything weird occurs.

I’m addicted to the NYTimes maps this morning, especially the county bubble view. Hello, population distribution! It’s fascinating to compare this year to 2004.
