We have greenage

One wall of the dining room is green. We’re waiting for the plaster to dry everywhere else so we can finish painting. My clever mother suggested putting up wainscoting over the evil wallpaper on the bottom half of the wall, an idea that appeals to me a lot more than peeling and scraping and mudding again.

We have a fridge, a washer, a dryer, and a new satellite. It’s all wonderful. Well, the Tivo is dicey because we don’t have DSL yet and it’s trying to update its guide over the network, but it’ll survive.

Tomorrow we begin the quest for furniture. Wednesday we find out how much it would set us back to get rid of the nasty carpets.

I’m addicted to the NYTimes maps this morning, especially the county bubble view. Hello, population distribution! It’s fascinating to compare this year to 2004.
